Swifly's iOS Settings screen is organized into five sections: General, Recording and Input, Translate, Privacy and Security, and Notifications. You can open it by tapping the menu icon, then Settings.
General
- Set language: Choose which language(s) Swifly listens for when you dictate.
Recording and Input
- Built-in mic: Use your iPhone's microphone for all dictation.
- Turn off mic: Choose how long after you finish dictating the mic switches off — Immediately, 5 min, 15 min, 1 hour, or Never.
Translate
- Translate to: Pick the language(s) Swifly can translate your dictation into.
Privacy and Security
- Privacy mode: When turned on, your dictation data isn't stored or used for training.
- Clear transcription history: Permanently delete all entries in your on-device transcription history.
- Save transcription history: Keep a record of your past dictations on your device.
Notifications
- Push Notifications: Turn push notifications from Swifly on or off. If you've previously denied permission, this opens the iOS Settings app so you can re-enable it.
If you're on the free plan, a Premium Access card also appears at the top of the screen with an option to upgrade to Pro.
The Settings screen doesn't include your account, plan, or support options — those live under their own entries in the side menu (Account, Refer a friend, Talk to support).
